Obscure Disney films

When you talk about obscure Disney movies, you may wonder how any of them could be obscure. Sure there’s over 60 animated features, and dozens of Direct-to-Video sequels, but if you were born in the 90s like I was, you likely remember most of them. But the movies you probably don’t remember, or may not even know about, are Disney’s enormous catalog of good, mild, and mediocre live-action films, especially from the 60s and 70s and 80s. They may still make live-action films today, and there were tons of televised films on the Disney Channel. But these were all in theaters, often double-featured with their new or re-releases of animated titles. You can check out a short list of 12 of these films (including The Black Cauldron, though) at the link below.

I’ve only just scratched the surface of Disney Live-action with things like Herbie Rides Again and the Strongest Man in the World. In fact, one of my favorite Disney flicks is The Misadventures of Merlin Jones. So I know I’ll want to look into more of these flicks, and they will certainly be getting a review from me here at the Warehouse. So be on the lookout for that.
