The New Cinema Warehouse is LIVE!

It’s Finally Here, Folks!

The brand-new Cinema Warehouse blog site is now live and activated, ready to burst with fresh new reviews and discussions. The original site (filmmakerjscinemawarehouse.wordpress.com) will still stay around for a short while, but I’ll be changing the front page to display some sort of redirect warning in order for people to hop on over to the new site. That way I can shut down the old one in a few weeks time. My only hope is that with this new domain and fresh new look, I’ll finally get some real traffic around here, maybe some comments and conversations going. Cause I think the place could use some real audience participation.

For those of you unfamiliar, the Cinema Warehouse is a blog dedicated to writing movie reviews and discussions about the rare, the obscure, and the underrated throughout film and tv history. It specializes in covering animated titles so far, but will be moving into live-action titles and independent films very soon to broaden the demographics coming by to check the place out. But in all honestly, this is just a blog where I enjoy expressing my thoughts on film and television because I think what I’ve learned and what I have to say could be meaningful or important to someone out there. So I’d like to continue writing all that I can because I enjoy it, and because I feel like I’m providing an meaningful preservation service.

Most importantly, I want this site to be a place where people can learn about and discover titles and franchises that they didn’t even know existed, but would be totally worth their time. Because I would consider it a huge lost opportunity if more people didn’t discover these films and tv series. We also cover some video games from time to time as well.

So, in other news,

Apparently there were only 49 Subscribers (as far as I can see) who were subscribed directly to the site itself through WordPress, whereas a large number outside of that was connected through Facebook and Twitter, maybe even Google+. So we’ll have to see if we can gain some of those followers back in the coming weeks, now that I’ve reattached this site to my accounts on those sites as well.

As promised, I have 5 new entries waiting to be posted to the new site, and I’m happy to say that one of them is indeed live-action, rather obscure, and a bit on the classic-retro side of film history. And I intend to keep a good portion of this site concerned with films of that sort in the future.

I also have an entry that’s been a long time in coming and I was finally able to express all of my thoughts about it. So I’m sure some will be pleased to finally see that.

Well without further adieu, this is The Cinema Warehouse. I hope you all Enjoy.
